What's the difference between Orchestra and Brew Ninja?

As you can see in the chart above, there are some big differences between Orchestra Cloud and Brew Ninja. 

In the Big Picture, Orchestra is an Enterprise Resource Planning software package. Orchestra Cloud is a product made by parent company Encompass. Encompass seems to have ERP systems customized for a variety of different industries. The key word is “Enterprise” both in terms of capacity and likely cost. 

On their website, Orchestra or Orchestrated Beer, seems to have a different brand on each page. They indicate that their differentiator in the ERP space is that they are “connected” and show a picture of your brewery connected with Distributors, Retailers and Consumers through Product Information, Insights and eCommerce. Distilling what this actually means is a little murky at first, however we’ve found out that this is another way of saying that they have an e-commerce system that allows retail and distribution customers to see their account history online, see inventory available to order, and to make orders online.

In contrast, Brew Ninja has an ecommerce integration through Square that you can run on almost any website through a plugin. This would allow any customer to make an order, but it would need a third party solution like Zapier to make the no-code integration successful. 

Finally, Orchestra Cloud is a private ERP system and any customization you need or administration work such as accounting would have to be done with through Orchestra’s consultants, or people with training in their software.

Beer Ninja integrates with Quickbooks and Square, two incredibly popular accounting and financial tools that are easy to use and universally used by almost any book keeper or accountant. 

Ultimately, if you’re considering Orchestra Cloud then you’re likely an aspiring enterprise level brewery in the USA.

How Much Does Orchestra Cloud by Encompass Cost?

Orchestra is software that serves Breweries, Distilleries, Cideries, Kombucha, Seltzer and CBD/Cannabis drinks  and is priced based on barrels produced per month. 

Orchestra ERP pricing isn't shown on their website. Their sales consultants have quoted online indicated that their startup fees start at $7500 while we have heard that the average startup fees is around $20,000. They will also have subscription fees on top of this.

Beer Ninja has tiered packages for under 900 bbl, under 2000 barrels, under 7000 barrels and finally an Enterprise level tier for breweries with more than 7,000 barrels of production per year.

Brew Ninja has pricing tiers that start at as little as $119 per month - thats only $1428 per year! This is the package we most often recommend to startup breweries who haven’t opened yet or to Brew Pubs who have limited distribution needs. 

For Breweries who are operating and want to scale - and get away from spreadsheet based management we offer tiered pricing for $229 and $349 per month which matches your expected production capacity and need for users.
