The Brew Ninja Brewery Software Promise:

1. Full Featured Software

2. Dedicated Support

3. Affordable Pricing

What's the Difference Between Ekos and Brew Ninja?

Ekos is easily the most popular software in the brewery management marketplace. While Ekos is good at what they do, one of the complaints we hear is that their brewery management software is segmented into purchase packages, where if you want more features, you pay more money. Their large scale can also mean you don't have a voice with customer service.

When we started Brew Ninja software we really wanted to address the gap in the market - full featured software that is affordable for smaller breweries that are looking for tools to help them grow. Our software is designed for those who have just graduated from spreadsheets or are looking for tools that make growth possible.

Multiple Location Management

Multiple warehouse management makes it easy to track inventory across different locations in real time. This can help you lock down just in time inventory on both your raw materials and finished goods, preventing over and under stocking.

With Brew Ninja, unlimited warehouses of any type are included in every plan. In Ekos, multiple warehouse management is only available on select plans.

Square Integration

Both Brew Ninja and Ekos offer a seamless integration with Square Point of Sale for simple, automated management of taproom sales and inventory.

Brew Ninja also offers an integration with Square for invoicing purposes. This feature not only streamlines your invoicing process, it also improves cashflow. By implementing direct invoicing you have the ability to set up autopay for regular customers. Plus Square offers a low flat rate on virtually any type of payment.

Taxes & Compliance

Both software packages offer comprehensive support for USA tax and TTB reporting. However, only Brew Ninja offers comprehensive support for Canadian tax reporting.

Lot tracking is another important compliance feature, especially for new breweries. This feature is included in Brew Ninja's Complete and Advanced tiers, and is available as an add-on for $20 /mo in our Essentials tier. Lot tracking is included in Ekos' Pro plan. Federal Governments in Canada and the USA audit compliance of every new brewery within the first two years of operation. Lot tracking goes a long way in simplifying that audit.

Reporting

Easy access to powerful reports is a huge benefit of using brewery management software. Having access to a variety of reports and data points allows you to make better decisions for your business, and improves adaptability in the ever-changing craft brewing market.

Brew Ninja offers over 85 unique reports to help businesses track things like sales and production volume month over month, profitability, and more. Custom reports are also available upon request. Ekos limits the reporting access available to customers by tier. They also offer a DIY report builder to those with eligible plans.

Pricing Differences Between Ekos and Brew Ninja

Ekos Pricing

Ekos has three price plans: Essentials, Plus and Pro. Ekos Software does not post pricing on their website for any subscription levels. This means that each brewery has to negotiate their pricing, their level of customer service, and features. It also means that Ekos is able to increase their pricing at any time. While Ekos does offer a complete brewery software solution, you will pay more for every feature group you need.

Brew Ninja Pricing

Brew Ninja is a brewery management software solution that offers all of the features a brewery needs to run a smooth operation in three tiered pricing plans. View our pricing here
