Managing Business Partners

How to view, filter, create, edit, and delete customers and vendors within Brew Ninja

Prerequisites

Viewing/Filtering Business Partners

Required Role: Setup Access → Customers/Vendors → Access

  • In the search box above the business partner list, enter the business name or account manager associated with the partner(s) you wish to locate.
  • Additional filtering options are available by clicking on the Advanced button:
    • The first dropdown allows you to filter by status (active, inactive, or both).
    • The second dropdown allows you to filter by type (customer, vendor, or either).
    • The final dropdown allows you to filter by associated delivery routes.
  • Click Go to filter your list of business partners by the specified criteria.

Creating a Business Partner

Required Role: Setup Access → Customers/Vendors → Modify

  • Click the Add button at the top of the list of business partners.
  • Enter the business partner's details (described in depth here) as required and then click Update in the bottom right-hand corner of the popup window to save your changes.
  • Alternatively, click Cancel to exit the business partner creation window.

Editing a Business Partner

Required Role: Setup Access → Customers/Vendors → Modify

  • Click on the blue pencil icon in the same row as the customer or vendor whose details you wish to view or adjust. The icon will say Edit Business Partner when you hover over it.
  • Update the business partner's details (described in depth here) as required and then click Update in the bottom right-hand corner of the popup window to save your changes.
  • Alternatively, click Cancel to undo any changes you may have made and return to the list of business partners.

Deleting a Business Partner

Required Role: Setup Access → Customers/Vendors → Modify

  • Click on the red trash can icon in the same row as the customer or vendor who you wish to delete. The icon will say Delete Business Partner when you hover over it.
  • Click OK in the resulting popup to delete the business partner.
  • Alternatively, click Cancel to return to the list of business partners.

Merging a Business Partner

Required Role: Setup Access →  Customers/Vendors→ Admin

  • Elevate Permission
  • Click on the 'Eye' icon on the left of the customer / vendor you wish to merge. 
  • In the drop down menu, select the business partner that you do not wish to keep
  • Click save all
